Frequently asked questions

Trading

What is a CFD and how does it work?

A CFD (Contract for Difference) is a derivative that mirrors the price of an underlying asset (forex, index, stock, commodity, crypto) without taking ownership. You buy or sell based on your view; your P&L is the difference between open and close prices multiplied by position size.

What leverage can I use?

Depends on account type and asset. Cent and Standard offer up to 1:1000 on forex; Zero up to 1:500; ECN PRO up to 1:200. Indices, stocks and crypto carry lower leverage. Leverage amplifies both gains and losses — pair it with a risk-management plan.

What is the typical EUR/USD spread?

Standard: 1.8 pips. Cent: 1.6 pips. Zero Spread and ECN PRO: from 0.0 pips with a per-lot commission. Spreads can widen during low-liquidity periods (Asia session open, macro releases).

Are there commissions per trade?

On Cent, Standard and Standard PRO we charge no per-trade commission — costs are in the spread. On Zero Spread and ECN PRO we charge a per-lot commission (USD 3 per side on Zero, USD 3.5 on ECN) in exchange for spreads from 0.0 pips.

Can I use Expert Advisors (EAs) and algo trading?

Yes, on every account type. MT5 supports MQL5 EAs, scalping, hedging and unrestricted algorithmic trading. The Zero Spread account is particularly popular with algo traders due to its low spread and institutional execution.

What happens if I hit a margin call?

When your margin level falls to 100% you receive a margin call (alert). If it drops to 50%, automatic stop-out kicks in and the most-losing positions are closed until margin is restored. It is best to close manually before reaching that point.

What are the trading hours?

Forex: 24/5 (closed weekends). Indices: depend on the listing exchange. Stocks: home exchange hours. Crypto: 24/7. Commodities: per contract. Exact hours are on each instrument card in MT5.

Accounts

How much does it cost to open an account?

Opening an account is free. You just complete registration, verify your identity (KYC) and fund the minimum for the chosen account: USD 25 on Cent / Standard / Standard PRO, USD 250 on Zero, USD 5,000 on ECN PRO.

How many accounts can I have?

Up to 5 live accounts per client, in any combination of types. You can also create unlimited demo accounts to test strategies before going live.

Can I change my account type later?

You do not change the type of an existing account — you open a new one with the desired type and move your funds. You can do it any time from the client portal, with no paperwork.

Which base currencies are available?

For now the available base currency is USD. All deposits, withdrawals, profits and losses are calculated in US dollars.

Is there an inactivity fee?

If the account has no trades or transactions for 6 consecutive months, a monthly fee of USD 10 (or equivalent) applies until the balance is drained. We do not close the account — it reactivates when you trade again.

How do I close my account permanently?

You request closure from the client portal. We return the balance to the original payment method (AML return-of-funds rule) and keep your KYC records for the minimum legal period. Closure completes in 5-10 business days.

Deposits and withdrawals

Which deposit methods do you accept?

Cryptocurrencies (USDT, USDC, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, BNB), debit or credit card (Visa and Mastercard), local payment methods available in selected countries and bank transfer available in selected countries. Each method may carry fees depending on the payment service provider (PSP). All methods are available for withdrawals following the return-of-funds-to-source rule.

How long does a deposit take to credit?

Cards and e-wallets: instant to 30 minutes. Crypto: after 1-3 confirmations (10-30 min). SWIFT: 1-3 business days depending on the issuing bank.

Is there a minimum withdrawal amount?

USD 25 (or equivalent) for all methods. Withdrawals are processed back to the original deposit method up to the amount funded; any surplus is released to the method you choose.

Why was my card declined?

Most common causes: international block, daily limit reached, wrong details, or a card not enabled for CFD trading (some banks restrict this category). Try another method or contact your bank.

KYC verification

Why do I need to verify my identity?

As a regulated broker we must apply international AML/KYC standards. Without verification you cannot deposit, trade live or withdraw. Verification is mandatory, free, and a one-off — once per client.

What documents do I need to submit?

Valid photo ID (passport, national ID or driving licence), recent proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, no older than 90 days) and, depending on your jurisdiction, a selfie or short liveness video.

How long does verification take?

Between 15 minutes and 24 business hours. Most verifications complete automatically in minutes. If manual review or extra documentation is needed, we notify you by email.

Can my verification be rejected?

It can if the document is expired, photos are illegible, addresses do not match, or you reside in a restricted jurisdiction (USA, Canada, international sanctions). We tell you exactly what is missing and how to fix it.

What is Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)?

For Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), clients from high-risk jurisdictions or accounts with elevated deposits, we apply enhanced due diligence: source-of-funds documentation, source-of-wealth screening and extra sanctions screening.

How do you protect my documents?

Your documents are stored encrypted in infrastructure controlled by the compliance team. Role-based access, continuous auditing and retention for the minimum legal post-closure period. Full details in our Privacy Policy.

Platforms

Which platform do you use?

MetaTrader 5 (MT5) on desktop, web and mobile (iOS / Android). The industry-standard platform with full EA, scalping and hedging support, custom indicators and access to 700+ instruments.

Can I trade from the browser without installing anything?

Yes. MT5 WebTrader runs on Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari with no install. Same features as desktop except for Expert Advisors (EAs require MT5 desktop).

Is there an app for iPhone and Android?

Yes, MT5 mobile is free on App Store and Google Play. Real-time quotes, charts, full execution, position management and push notifications. Search "MetaTrader 5" and connect with your AP Markets login.

How do I connect an EA or copier?

From MT5 desktop: copy the .ex5 file into MQL5/Experts, drag it onto a chart, set parameters and enable "AutoTrading" (top toolbar). Remember every EA trades against your margin — test in demo first.

What if the platform freezes?

Restart MT5 (close the window and reopen). If it persists, clear the cache via File → Login → Connect again. If your position is open and you cannot close it, call support immediately for a manual desk close.

Do you offer API or direct connection for algo trading?

For ECN PRO clients with AUM above USD 100,000 we offer direct FIX API connection, sub-20ms latency and co-location in Equinix LD4 / NY4. Coordinate with the institutional desk.
